Hi Everyone! There is a great group that formed over on Facebook called Tahoma for Change that has been publishing records related to the district's handling of the sexual abuse that took place by staff member Bryan Neyers. We are in the process of combining their records with our existing records related to the incident for public research. As such we wanted to share the page where our records have been stored so that the public may review them. For those not on FB.

I checked and its open to the public.  I encourage everyone to show up in solidarity for the TSD students.

 

 

Fyi,

This is the judge who a news reporter published her statement that a 1st grade student was not credible because of her age, and because she told her parents her teacher put his hands on her privates while she sat on his lap, alone in the classroom while everyone was outside for recess. This was in September 2021.

Folks, have I missed it by any chance? Were there any documents from school district detailing how the settlement money have been paid? Maybe it's still in a process... I don't recall any emails to the district parents explaining anything regarding this matter. Thank you.

What do you mean by detailing how the settlement money has been paid? Are you questioning where the money comes from or how the payouts work? I know most districts in WA state belong to a risk management pool, which handles any lawsuits against them. So any payout will come from the pool, but that means our annual premiums will greatly increase after any payouts.

Thank you. I didn't know about WSRMP. Maybe that's the reason district doesn't cover this topic, as the money was paid from risk management pool and not from district funds.
