Discussion on Facebook?

Does this site have a page or discussion page on Facebook? I see several, but don't see one that seems like it's associated with this site.

I feel like discussion would involve more parties/opinions if it was more widely accessible.

Hi Amanda, thank you for your inquiry. Tahoma Parents does not have a Facebook page or a Facebook group at this time. This is something we have discussed because we understand that many community members use Facebook as their primary source of information. Unfortunately, such an effort would be a serious time commitment, and we simply do not have enough internal team members to manage it. Moreover, there already exist many other Facebook groups related to Maple Valley and the Tahoma School District. Because of this, we fear our platform would be suppressed in a sea of noise.

As such, we have focused our efforts in a way that reaches community members who are both on and off Facebook, believing that it creates the widest potential spread of information with our limited resources. We encourage our supporters to share our content on Facebook in groups that promote open dialogue and discussion, however. This is something that we may revisit in the future.

Obviously, community members are more than welcome to join and engage in our platform as well.
