Voter Turnout is Low. Help to Make it Higher!

As of today, King County has received only 4,019 ballots for the 2023 election from Tahoma School District (TSD) voters.

For reference, during the 2021 Tahoma School Board election, 13,768 votes were cast. Currently, we are at just 29% of the turnout seen in 2021, with only one week remaining for voting in the 2023 election.

These low numbers should concern everyone who wishes to bring about a positive change in the district. If voters choose apathy over action, nothing will change. It is imperative that you reach out to your neighbors, friends, and family in Tahoma and encourage them to participate.

Some may dismiss this message, thinking, 'I prefer to vote on election day.' However, with universal mail-in voting, this approach is less effective. Campaigns need to target those who haven't voted yet, which is a time-consuming and resource-intensive effort. If you plan to vote but wait, you not only drain campaign resources but also potentially miss the chance for a more critical contact. Furthermore, waiting makes it more challenging to resolve any ballot issues before the election day counts begin.

Please vote, and encourage your friends, family and neighbors to do the same!
